Today was another successful day at city park. I had a nice little walk, and it felt nice having this little walk as a little welcome to the fall season in October. I've noticed that over time the green from the trees has slowly faded away, and the fall weather and crisp air has welcomed the trees and the ecosystem here. I slowly see the changes in the color of the trees, and the grass. The air feels a little thicker, a little colder and it kind of makes me sad because it makes me realize how summer is really over. Summer is my favorite season, and I absolutely hate the cold, so this transition is very sad for me, but I do have to admit that the change and the colorful season of fall is very pretty and effortlessly beautiful here in Colorado. I slowly see the leaves falling and turning yellow, not quite orange yet. I see how the grass is slowly turning yellow, as if to say “see you next year”. As the weather begins to change from hot sunny days to a crisper , colder climate, this makes me connect more with myself and makes me reflect on what changes I've come across in the past couple months. I realize that change is kind of hard for me, but with the change of season, I'm eager to see what spring brings me as the grass will be green again, flowers will bloom, and the trees will be green again. I can't help but wonder how I'll be adapted to these new changes by then, how I'll feel, and I'm just curious to see where my mind set and head will be out by that time.

That's something I feel like I struggle with, I feel like I'm always looking into the future, and don't take enough time to appreciate the present times and moments. Although I am excited to see what's the next couple of months have in store for me and how it'll shape me to be by the springtime, I feel like it's important for me to really soak in the present time and appreciate what's surrounding me, and just enjoy the process of my development and maturity, and not always look so much into the future. Putting aside my personal feelings, on this walk I came across a couple flowers that I thought were really cute, and I came across some more trees that looked really interesting. I believe the tree I came across is called Green ash, and I just think it's really pretty, as it's transitioning into the fall season and weather. I feel like I miss the presence of the birds chirping, I feel like as it gets colder and colder I hear less and less birds. It really make me sad because they remind me of my home, Mexico, and I feel like they used to be my alarm on the summer days, and it's just another reminder that Summer is gone, which kind of makes me feel disconnected to my cultural origins.
